Our favorite penny-pincher, CheapyD from Cheap Ass Gamer, has found yet another tasty deal for us. This week you can pick up The Darkness for a mere $49.99 from Circuit City. This knocks the price of Starbreeze's latest FPS from the unruly next-gen price of $60 to a more comfortable PS2-level price point. The Darkness has been getting fantastic reviews so far and looks like a must-buy when it comes out today. And now, thanks to CheapyD, you can buy the game and even have enough money left over for a McDonalds value meal and a 40 of Old English. Now THAT'S good living.

Most of the reviews I've seen barely warrant it a rental. AI is horrible apparently. From watching the videos a guy was shooting at this dudes henchmen and he just stood there like you weren't even there. I'm not to sure about this game now :(.

Yeah this game is a rental for me. What I've seen so far makes it look like another PC game. I may buy it if the rental is enjoyable enough.

I'm really tempted to swing by circuit city and pick this one up... wish we had a couple more reviews of it though. Right now they are overall positive but I want some solid ps3/360 comparisons.

I might pick up transformers instead of this one this week. That game looks more fun. I think 1up has a good review of this game, but they said it was only like 10 hours long for the main story. A bit short, I prefer about 20 hours.

@4 - I dont think that rating system is spot on right now. You have 6 sites rating the 360 version, and 2 ranking the ps3 version. I am betting some of them are ranking the game as a whole, and not version version version. Its gonna take some better review stats to make one look better than the other right now.

Don't you know why? OPM reported last year that the game was being PORTED to the 360. Yep. This was a PS3 original! =D
Take THAT Ubisoft! =P
