Rumor: New PSN titles for the summer and fall - Loco Roco, GT 5 Prologue, and more! [UPDATE- Sony responds]

French gaming mega-site PlayFrance has posted a list of Sony titles coming out in Europe between now and this October and they've revealed a bunch of unheard of titles. Not only do they confirm that both Loco Roco PSN and GT 5 Prologue are coming out in the next couple months, they also listed three previously unheard of games:
  • EyeToy Play Factory 1
  • EyeToy Play Factory 2
  • Chills
No other information was given about these, though they also confirmed Loco Roco 2 coming out for the PSP this year. So what's the possibility of this list being real? Well, PlayFrance is a very reputable site, but it seems a little iffy that Sony would announce 5 new PSN titles in such a way. Did somebody accidentally spill the beans on some of the 'surprises' that Jack Tretton hinted at a week ago? It's hard to tell at this point, but we've contacted Sony and are awaiting a response about the validity of this list.

Update:
When we asked Sony about the validity of the list, Dave Karraker had the following to say:

"I checked on this with our people in France. They have no idea where this information is from and say it is wholly inaccurate. The only games they have announced in that territory are Warhawk, Super Stardust and Snakeball."

So until we get more info, consider this rumor to debunked.

Update 2:
PlayFrance has taken the page down. Consider the rumor to be thoroughly debunked now.

1. I love rumours because they are usually good!!!

Have you been to http://www.vgchartz.com/ lately. The Xbox 360 has gone down in sales I remember yesterday it was over 10 million but now its 9.98

I guess they stopped counting red ring 360's as sales. I am really flinging alot of dirt at the 360. Sorry if it offends you.

2. They stopped counting red ring 360s as sales? In that case, they 360 sold about 200 consoles.

6. A GT5 Prologue would be awesome, and could really help console sales until 2025 when GT5 final will probably be released ;)
Even if it was just an online store title it wouldnt be too bad (in-stores would prolly help PS3 sales better though), GT:HD is amazing but if they did something similar to Tekken where it came out for $10 with a couple of tracks & cars, and then additional content a couple months later.
Im okay with buying 'add-ons' like Tekken is doing, as long as what you end up with is basically the same as a finished title and it doesnt cost more than the cost of a full game, its not too bad. If they did a GT5P in 2 parts and the total cost was similar to buying GT5P in the shops i dont think anyone would complain. Add-on packs are cool, not a big fan of individual purchases though.

Anyway, enough Loco Roco, GT5P FTW!!!

7. Yes, a GT5 Prologue would be brilliant.

Would be a nice taster to the game.

8. Is Pain coming out soon too? I think that one is well worth 8 bucks.

9. Loco Roco is the perfect game for the Sixaxis. I can't think of a better controller for it - tilt + jump.

sonyboy556: You may as well say "Why do you like Family Guy? It's a kids cartoon". And you would be wrong.

GT Prologue will be an awesome surprise if it's really coming soon. That's pretty damn cool.
