A buddy of mine turned into a zombie playing this game. School, friends, personal health became meaningless when playing socom 2 online.

To this day I still don't understand why he thought it was so great. All people would ever do is stafe side-to-side while shooting until somebody dies. For me it's boring as hell. Well at least I can do in high-def now :/

THIS LOOKS LIKE SHIT. look at uncharted. The soldiers don't even cast shadows, wtf? NO SHADOOWWWSS.. even last gen had shadoowwwss. I do notice hdr effects though. Tell me they just started on the project. Counter Strike Source looks better than this piece of crap. Nick, that's very nice of you, but admit it, the graphics sux. I repeat... the soldiers cast no shadows even? Even the wii can do better than that. This is gonna be an exclusive, so they have no excuse to not make it look [at least] a trillion times better than that. Did you see the explosion that rpg made? *vomit* I'm a huge ps3 fan, but a bit on the UN-informed side, so let me know if this'll improve significantly or if i'm just going blind.

socom is the only game i dont want amazing graphics in.. look at socom on current gen, the graphics blow dick but it is the best online game for ps2. hopefully it can do the same for ps3

WTF!!!! is wrong with you people the vid and the screen shots look amazing.The reason the soldier doesn't cast a shadow is because they only just started work on it 4month ago.To the person who said all you do in SOCOM is straf left right and shoot untill everyone is dead, ummm..is'nt that what you do in every shooter?thats the point of the game.Then you said it's boring but at atleast i play in HD, why would you buy it if you think it's boring?.

This looks terrible. The soldiers look like they're trying to poo as they run. The sound is like 4 bit sound mono. The gunfire just lights up a room, no HDR there. The game looks terrible. Come on people if we go around saying stuff looks good and it doesn't why would SONY (or anyone) improve it? We paid 600+ for a system so make it look that much better than xbox... right? I mean come on, i'm so sick of false fanboyish BS... let's keep it real.

I'm not 12 mind you... "oh look SOCOM!!!" give me a break... "Oh look another disappointing title that is comparable to handlefuls of XB360 ones..." sheesh.

I love playstation 3( online gaming). My problem is that I ONLY HAVE MY LEFT HAND!that makes gaming difficult enough, Im emailing to you because almost all games have pre-set control configurations, this is so frustrating. Even the leftie settings don't help much as im suposted to be right handed, you know different sides of the brain ect... so even the lefty settings feel all backwards to me. I have also spoken to lots of people with two hands(online gamers & the like) that find pre-sets difficult too!

The best thing that playstation could do is to make every game making company let the costomer choose there own control configurations, im not saying get rid of the pre-sets, but extra options like this should be made possible.This also opens the gaming experience up to people with disabilities, a great marketing strategy to making the gaming experience available to all people & creating more MORE SALES! = $$$. Lets face it! these games are expencive, at least make it possible for everyone to enjoy!

ESPECIALLY FOR SOCOM CONFRONTATION FOR PS3 PLEASE!

hi i do agree to a sertain degree with all of you and leftie, yes i know this man and yes he has one hand, he is a good player so dont make it easier for him cause he plays better then a shit load of these guys LOL, the games of SOCOM are getting (better) but realy we need to be able to do more. what about healing in game against the oposition how cool would that be. bury your self in the sand, in the opositions cars make it so you dont no whos driving it, this is what happens in real life so make it that more real. look if you want to no more about making SOCOM fantastic not (better) get some of us guys together that play the game for real. not DICK heads that couldnt give a shit about the game. I Know of 2 people that have put there point to you on this forum iam one of them i have the hole lot of SOCOM i never mist one this dont mean the game is fantastic so have a think about what i have placed on here, as i say get the fans that play the game for REAL.

what i know of the game is that it is only an online game...no single player...and you get to customize your character so i think its gonna kick some butt. for clans and stuff the leader can pick a base uniform for the clan and stuff. i think it'll be good. but i agree the graphics are not that great, some parts are good but other parts are horrible...almost as good as the ps2 socoms...
