Hotels used to be a place to throw your suitcases, shower, and sleep. That was about it. If you were at a nice hotel, you could take a dip in their pool and maybe try your luck at the continental breakfast. That was then. This is now. Hotel Tomo has opened up in San Fransisco, boasting a Japanese-style hotel theme complete with electronic doodads and artificial lighting out the wazoo. How often have you seen the words "doodad" and "wazoo" so close together? The hotel, located in Japantown, is most noted here on PS3 Fanboy for giving us exactly what we want: home away from home. That's right, every hotel room in the joint has an LCD television, iPod docking station, sexy bathrobes and whatever else you'd enjoy in your own room. In addition to this, two gaming suites are available boasting gigantic (6ft.) LCD projection screens and your very own PlayStation 3 or Nintendo Wii to fool around with. Yes, there's WiFi, too.
PlayStation 3 available in a hotel gaming suite with a giant projection screen? That would be a kickin' spot to host some kind of party, wouldn't you think? Not only could you play your favorite games in "actual size" but you could also watch Blu-ray movies as if you were in a private theater. Hats off to you, Hotel Tomo, for giving gamers a home away from home (especially if their parents drag them to a particularly boring event). Let's get more hotels doing this kind of thing!
[Thanks, andyscout!]

New wager - Twenty bucks says the game selection will consist solely of Spiderman 3, Super Rub A Dub and Sonic the Hedgehog.

What's wrong with Super Rub A Dub? Its actually quite addicting and oddly soothing.

Yeah.... the fact that you used the word "addicting" kind of devalues your opinion, because it indicates that you're a little kid who's just entertained by the pretty colours. Then again, maybe English isn't your first language or something. Regardless, Super Rub a Dub sucks because it's a shallow, repetitive game with bad controls - and I'm saying that after suffering through the demo. Oh, and the game has been appropriately panned by everyone.
So that's what's wrong with Super Rub a Dub. Really addictive and oddly soothing? Sounds like you're confusing it with Flow.

Sorry Stef but this place wont be the place for you to hate on. After reading this blog I stpped by and asked to see the room. Wow!! It's the real deal. Killer furniture and " adult play area".... the screen (I measured was 5 by 8 ft). Full surround system and PS# was fully HD!!! The games they showed me were Ridge Racer 7, Motor Storm, NBA 2K7, and Resisitance Fall of Man. The manager was cool and asked me to send him a list of recommended games so stop hating and check it out for yourself. It's great to have some business folks cater to us for once.
