We've known for some time that a Lost game was in the works, but we didn't know exactly who was working on what. Now we do...
"We are delighted to work with Bryan Burk, one of the biggest producers in Hollywood and with Touchstone Television," said Yves Guillemot, CEO of Ubisoft. "That they have chosen us for the adaptation of the cult series 'Lost' is the best homage that a producer can make to the creativity of Ubisoft."
Awww. Isn't that sweet. Now it's Bryan's turn to say something nice about Ubisoft.
"Many of us on 'Lost' have been hardcore gamers for years and the chance to work with Ubisoft, a company behind some of our favourite titles, has excited us to no end," said 'Lost' producer Bryan Burk. "With the ability to tell new interactive stories within the 'Lost' universe, we're giddy to be developing a game that, once completed, will be as engaging and fun to play as it is to create."
Unfortunately, there's not a single bit of real information here (like news about gameplay elements or release dates). In fact, the press release is exactly like the show: it brings up more questions than it answers. At least we know it will be available on the PS3.

Hurrah for hockey! Been a Wings fan since before it was dangerous in Colorado. Too bad the Avs already got knocked out, there's nothing like those two teams in the playoffs for riling up my coworkers, even if the rivalry between the actual teams has tamed to nearly nothing.
As for a Lost game; I wouldn't mind losing this one completely to the 360. Even though I love the show, I don't see how this game could be any good at all.

Argh i'm a big fan of LOST but i just know this game is going to be total dog shit. I'm curious to see how it can be done, i mean LOST is very video game unfriendly. It's not like 24 when then can just put you as Jack Bauer up against some random terrorists in a random mission when probably your wife is hostage, this is different. How could flashbacks be playable, how could they sneak them in there? Cut scenes? They're very important so they can't just ignore them.
It'll probably be like, you play as Locke in season 1, go collect 5 boars and then come back, pass go, collect 200 pounds.

It could be interesting if they were in a FarCry type Island, plenty of free roaming, with certain tasks within it all, but as said i dont see how this is going to work. Most TV series the viewer knows exactly whats going on and events happen along the way, but with Lost you had a better understanding in the first episode than you have from the latest!
They cant give you a proper ending to it, because the TV show will almost certainly push past the game release, so the ending will be rather flat. Its also hard for them to create sub-stories, '24' you can have a random terrorist attack like every series, you cant have a completely new island and folk on it, what happens in the game needs to be relative to whats gone on in the show or not conflict with it, so your limited to what is already available or could be tweaked. Adding odd/unknown stuff to it is going to feel out of place to the TV show.
I just dont see how they can pull it off.

This could be cool. It's an amazing show.
And no to both hockey and NASCAR. Football and baseball are much better.
And hey, what do you know? Lost is on in a little less than 4 hours. Sweet.
