New PS3 Ratchet & Clank game given a title!

There has been a franchise that has continued to sneak in under the radar in the PlayStation family. This franchise is consistently well-received. We're talking about Ratchet & Clank. From crazy weaponry to classic platforming/action, these guys are well near the top of the list. I'm not speaking from experience, honestly. I've never had the time to get into these, but it appears every place agrees that these games are great. Now we have one coming to the PS3... and it has a name!

Insomniac Games issued this statement on the new game: "The name Ratchet & Clank Future: Tools of Destruction works on many levels. It signals a new era for the franchise, ties into the game's story, and includes one of our signature subtitle double entendres." Is it because one of the characters is, in essence, a tool? Or the characters' names are tools? Hmm. Much debate is to be had here! If you want to learn more, the April issue of EGM will have more details. Which I subscribe to, so I'll bring it to you too.

1. A game officially receiving a title is now considered news?

I don't blame you guys, your just reacting to a press release but seriously, slow news day or something?

2. @ FrankTheCrank -- yes, exactly. =D

3. Why would that not be news?

I've always wondered why people keep commenting with "Is this supposed to be news" or "why is this on the site?".

If you keep commenting on those items, they will keep showing up because they'll think it's relevant. If you don't think it's relevant, don't comment. Others might find the news useful. If nobody does, then chances are that there won't ever be headlines like that.

4. You have never played these? You are missing out on the finest franchise in playstation history. Now give yourself a swift booty-kickin! Graphics, music, humor, story arc, awesome programming, and perfect gameplay... you put in Ratchet and Clank and retire from the world... it's really that good, and has been, from the start.

5. Yeah not sure why you guys are so surprised. Ratchet & Clank is a huge franchise for the Playstation. I rank this with Gran Turismo and Metal Gear Solid in terms of importance.
