1. its kind of weak, only 5 titles that wont be anywhere else.

2. well a whole lot better than the 360 launch

Posted at 1:37PM on Oct 8th 2006 by Sumbitch 0 stars

3. Resistance: Fall of Man; Oblivion; Rainbow Six Vegas; flOW.

All these games seem great but these ones really have my attention. I might also Get Marvel: Ultimate Alliance and Call of Duty 3 later.

4. Eat it fanboys. While we move on to second gen games, you are stuck with games over 8 months old. I'm so mean and didn't want to interrupt your rejoicing.

5. First one will the game I've been waiting a long time to get my hands on, F.E.A.R., and then Sonic The Hedgehog and Need for Speed Carbon!!!!

6. ASDF mentions the word fanboys as an insult then makes it blatantly clear that he is indeed one himself. Would you like some sugar with your hypocrisy?

7. Saying this launch is better than the 360 should also be taken in context. Many of the games above have come out on the 360 months after launch. So of course the PS3 will have a ton of games at launch that are now old on the 360.

And a comparison of Oblivion between the PS3, 360...may hardly be fair. The PS3 version will have had months of extra development time.

Why not compare some of Ubisoft or EA games that are releasing on the same date for both consoles for a more fair comparison.

8. @Alijah Green

If you mean weak in comparison to Xbox 360, you better think again. This is a much better launch than Xbox, and it will only get better for PS3!

9. [:1:] Resistance: Fall of Man
[:2:] The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion

Maybe F.E.A.R., but those two should hold me off for a while.

10. #1 Resistance... Got a friend thats a manager at GameStop. They all watched a live demo in Dallas... He said it was by far the best game he's seen, next gen, to date. My second game will be Lair... when its released. Can't afford to jump into too many games at first.

11. I'll pretend that I don't live in Europe for a moment so I can join in the fun.

Tiger Woods '07 - Even though the game gets more buggy every year, this year being no exception.

Resistance: Fall of Man - Pretty much an essential purchase for multiplayer action by the looks of it.

Sonic and Oblivion, that's me done for a few months.

Of course, come March it will be a different story.

14. stumpie I have to say people (360 fanboys espicaly) and doubted sony for the fact that they are releasting a year after the 360....

Am I the only one that sees the stratgy(sp) here...

Sony-Let microsoft have their fun they will need it...Ok now lets work the bugs out and make a quality product this time....

A year later....that gives sony the advantage you dumbasses (directed towards 360 fanboys) call it advantage for it being released a year earlier....I call it your chance to try and out run a pissed off pitbull.....

*A minor note...I own a 360, and I play it often, so don't even say that i'm houndogin on the PS3...*

16. Yea i defenfitely want 1. Resistance 2. Rainbow Six 3. Full Auto 2 4.Tony Hawk... and i will wait for a while to get something else... even tho right now thats $240 in games but i see it as i need a variety in my games to keep me interested but i been saving for this system for almost a year a half....

17. I think i'll be picking up resistance, genji, and either full auto 2, untold legends, or moble suit. but most likely just resistance and genji

Posted at 1:24PM on Oct 8th 2006 by joe 0 stars

18. Riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiige Racer! for me ..seriously though, i like the series. And, one FPS ... maybe Resistance or FEAR. Also, gonna pick up Black Hawk Down on BD during the same time; its one of the first 50 gb discs.

Posted at 11:27PM on Oct 8th 2006 by Caramella Bongo ... how are you today? 0 stars

19. That launch lineup is weak overall, though it is rich in multiplatform games.

The only good game to get is Oblivion (an upgraded version), nothing else. Ridge Racer 7 is an exclusive but it does not have anything new or good in return.

As for the multiplatform games, don't expect them to sell well since gamers could get them on other consoles at much lower costs (combine the console and game prices together: game and Wii, game and Xbox 360, game and PS3).

Oh yeah, many of the sports games were already release for Xbox 360 already and by next month, the excitement of these games will fade away. Many Sony and Nintendo fans accused EA and 2K Games for releasing the Xbox 360 versions months early instead of doing a simultaneous November release for all consoles.

20. What da hell are you people talking about? This launch sucks. Almost all games up here are ports or rehashes. This isnt worth the $600 admission price of the PS3. Full Auto? Ridge Racer? Are you kidding? Crrraaaappp.

At least theres Rainbow 6 and Oblivion.

#15 I would hope your right about Sony working out the kinks in its console but given their track record dont hold your breath.
