Rainbow Six: Vegas HD video

IGN has posted the E3 video of the 10-minute Rainbow Six: Vegas trailer that ran periodically during E3. What's different this time around, however, is that the video is in HD and you don't have to listen to thousands of people while trying to watch it. Instead, you only have to listen to a few folks providing solid commentary on the trailer. The page for the video can be accessed here.

1. Rainbow Six Vegas is coming to PS3? I couldn't imagine playing this game without Xbox Live and without the xbox/360 controller, ah well, to each his own, I guess.

2. Hey guys... I know this is a little off topic but... have you checked your logo lately? Because Sony sort of announced a new controller for the PS3.

3. "... I couldn't imagine playing this game without Xbox Live and without the xbox/360 controller..."

Is that a moral issue?

i see little difference between a xbox 360 control vs PS3 control... they'll both use thumbsticks... and thumb buttons. and since you'll be expecting the same developer for the game on BOTH the xbox 360 and the PS3... the control scheme would be very similar (if not the same)...

so what then is wrong with a PS3 version? i mean other than the chance you won't be getting the PS3 itself.

i can't imagine myself playing this on ANY console. at least not without constantly killing myself (my game character, that is).

although i do plan on getting the PS3... i don't do well with FPS games on consoles... i usually play FPS games on the PC... though that could easily change if they have good support for console mice and keyboard (or a mini variation of a keyboard).

5. Goobers, Rainbow games have always worked well on the Xbox/360 controllers, and with the Xbox 360 vision cam, its a bonus to play this game on a 360.
Also, theres a HUGE diffence with the PS3 and Xbox 360 controller, 360 has triggers, which is better, it has rumble, which is better, it has skewed analog sticks, which is better, the 360's analog sticks are better than the PS3 controller, and the vision cam. gg

6. its a tuff sell to bring pc fps players to consol without a keyboard and mouse. all this motion sensor controlers and what not is a waste of developement unless it is a better controler than a mouse (which i highly doubt) nothing comes close to a mouse for control in an fps (not to mention real time strategy games) and i think that the mouse will reign supreme for years to come.

cute new wireless laser-guided telepathic controlers that are kookie and fun should be left to the nintendo and the types of controllers that give you as much control as possible should be what the $600 sony should be striving for.

7. catastrophic, how do you know that the analog stickes in the ps3 are not as good as the 360? there were huge upgrades in feel and function between the ps1 and ps2 controllers despite the apperance. gg assuming.

8. i agree, all controlers are shit compared to a mouse and keyboard. i have been cal-i in 3 different game and i have never been able to get into a fps on consol because i dont have any control. i always feel like im some sort of small tank with a slow moving turrent as opposed to something as agile and manuverable as a person.

9. Well the argument "Keyboard & Mouse" are way better than any Controller out there, i think it really depends of what kind of game we are talking about.

Keyboard and Mouse are better for FPS at least im more comfortable with these and i cant play RTS games with a Controller. But thats it.

A controller is better for Action games, Sport Games, Survival Games and so many more.

And the fight 360 Controller versus PS3 Controller is dumb, every controller has its strengths and weakness.

And im pretty sure both controllers work well with FPS games.

10. naggs, so you didn't know E3 was on last month? GG idiot.

11. keyboard and mouse gives any player an insurmoutable advantage in any fps or rts game. no new standard will take over unless it gives more control to the player. honestly i dont like any game where the entire sum of the moves i can make are done with 6 buttons. all i know is what games i care about and none of them use a 2 hand controler. fps, racing and rts are basically the only games i find worthwhile. maybe ratchet and clank pwns with the controller but ill never know.

catastrophic, your mom.
