A new GameSpot article is touting some
juicy info about a new MMORPG from Square Enix that's slated for the PlayStation 3 and Windows Vista. This comes a
surprise considering we've never heard anything about it. We don't have a title, we don't have a date... we don't even
have a clue what it could be about! What we do know, however, is that the Final Fantasy XI team is busy at work and that we might possibly hear more about it in a couple of weeks. An interesting side note to consider is that if this MMORPG is also in the works for Windows Vista, then what are the chances we could see it released on the Xbox 360? Team leader Hiromichi Tanaka said that because the two platforms were so similar, porting a title over from PC to Xbox 360 was pretty easy.
If this is the case, there's always that possibility of seeing the mystery game find its way to Microsoft's console as well.

I can't really see them not sharing with other consoles...it benefits them more to provide a game to as many buyers as possible. Well...I guess Nintendo doesn't really count in this case.

i personally loathe the mmorpg games. i wrote ff11 off as a fluke... just square testing the waters. the fact that they are doing it again makes me a little concerned about the traditional rpg games. hopefully... this wont become the norm.

I love PS3 fanboy. I really do. I like the fact that your attitude is not like the ones on "Xbox 360 fanboy" that despise PS3 and PS3 fanboys. Turning the other cheek is always good.

What if this was a new Star Wars MMO. . . that would be awesome! Of course, so would any other MMO by Square-Enix.

Nah, the new Star Wars MMO will probably be done by Bioware's new Austin studio.
